PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
Easter Favors and the
Very Best of Pinterest Pins

I still had soooooo many Hershey's Kisses left over from a wedding favor recently and needed to find a paper craft to use them so I can stop munching on them! Thankfully, Pinterest did not disappoint with this wonderful idea and video tutorial by QbeesQuest.com!

Here are the baskets I had fun making:

Side Embellishments:

After I made four baskets using the purple print patterned paper, I tried using some double-sided DSP from a DWV paper stack. When the inserts are folded to hold the Kisses, you get to see both sides of the papers which looks even better in person than the picture shows!

These baskets were super easy to make and made me happy to use up those remaining candy Kisses at last! I know the recipients of these baskets will smile from ear-to-ear when they get them, and I know they'll say, "They're too cute to eat!"

Finally, here's one last Easter favor I tried before the baskets. It was fun to make this one, but not as fun as the baskets! I used a clear A2 envelope to make the clear purse part:

PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
SAB Stampin' Up and the
Very Best of Pinterest Pins

I finally had time to make up some thank you cards using my new Avant-Garden set from SU:

There were many pins to use for inspiration and these were the first cards I made with this set:

Inside View of Left Panel

When I was all done with the card above, I flipped it over to add my HOMMARK sticker on the back and the card touched the green ink pad by the green arrow - ARG!...so I had to turn this accident into a chance to use some creativity to cover it! An extra leaf would have thrown off the balance, but you can see what I ended up doing below. I was VERY happy how it all turned out!

The cut out flower gave the card an added embellishment!

...and one last card made:

Now here are the pins for this set:

One thing I often do with stamp sets that require extensive coloring is scan my finished panel into the computer so I can print out card fronts/inside panels whenever I need them in a jiffy! This is what I did for the outside and inside flower panels for the card above. Even close up, you can't tell that they were scanned and oh!...the time it saves!

My coworker, Donna, is planning a Leprechaun Hunt for her young granddaughters this month. She bought gold chocolate coins to make a pathway to the shoe box traps that the little ones will decorate ahead of time. Donna will then make it look like the leprechauns have done some mischievous things in her house when they all go on the hunt: tilted lamp shades, St. Patty's socks on the floor, etc. Oh! What fun these kids will have! I gave Donna some ideas for the hunt from the days when Kevin's wonderful kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Brown, did a hunt for her students every year! Such happy memories :-) Check out these clever St. Patty's Day Leprechaun Hunt ideas HERE and crafts HERE.
