I do love simple arts and crafts projects, and this awesome idea to make photo necklaces on Pinterest caught my eye:
On the Ginger Snap Crafts site, there is an etsy.com site available to get all materials in a kit. Many kits are available such as this one
HERE. All you need to do is print up the black and white pics on your printer to create a lovely personalized Mother's Day gift!...and speaking of Mother's Day...here is a card that caught my eye using the Flowering Fields set AGAIN! I love this versatile set so much!
This card really made me do a happy dance! From Michelle's initial post of this card, I - like a lot of others - wondered how she got the background watercolor effect with the white foreground images colored so nicely and distinctly? Well...in response to those questions, Michelle was kind enough to do a video tutorial
HERE! My version:
I was so thankful that Michelle provided the tutorial that I wrote her a note to thank her and she was kind enough to reply. It sure takes a lot of extra time to do a video tutorial and isn't it grand when someone shows you exactly what to do so you don't have to become frustrated trying to figure out the technique?! I used this technique to make quite a few of these cards while I had everything out. The card above was my final and best one - practice really does make a difference ^_^
So below...I've included some more Mother's Day cards that were my fav pins recently - Enjoy!
(People are so darn clever!!)
My mom was a piano teacher, so I think this one will be modified for her this year:
