PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
Halloween Cards

Happy Halloween and what better way to make someone's day than to receive a handmade card like this one from my wonderful and talented pen pal, LA:

She said this die cut is from Cherry Lynn Designs called Witch's Laundry HERE. I LOVE the paper she used to cut out the socks!..and here are some other terrific cards that made me do my happy dance from my talented paper crafting buddies:

Love the use of SU's Lovely as a Tree stamp!

Perfect sentiment for a fall card to a friend!
This is a die cut on a fantastic background paper. Janet said she found the paper at JoAnn's and it had elephants on the bottom of it before she re-purposed it for this card!

PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
Basket Full of Sunshine

I saw a terrific BASKET FULL OF SUNSHINE idea on Pinterest for gifts to give friends and relatives going through an illness, cancer or other hardships. This idea would also make a one-of-a-kind birthday gift as well. I found several examples of yellow items to include in the basket and even a site that offers FREE printable tags to attach to the basket or box - YES!

Free printable - Send a Box of Sunshine to brighten someones day! The printables say you are my sunshine, and other fun sayings.

I found the perfect basket at Michael's and went to Target where I found loads of yellow items to put into my basket for a dear friend and added one of the printable tags:

My yellow items included a Subway gift card, a water bottle, hand lotion, cookies, pancake mix, wine, coffee cup, honey, mustard, kitchen towels, tea bags and some handmade cards incorporating the yellow color theme (shown below). My friend called when she got the basket and said it made her sooooo very happy....and I'm so happy to find this wonderful idea on Pinterest!

PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
Quick Cards

I saw this card on Pinterest and pinned it to my CARDS: Must Make board:

Agapanthus Blocks by Loll Thompson - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Using the GORGEOUS papers from my DCWV Far East stack of papers, I quickly made these two cards:

After finishing my cards and comparing them to the original pin, I do think the sponging/shading of all four corners on each quarter panel makes for a nice touch...so...I must add that on my next batch of cards!...and here's my version of Mary Fish's card that was shown on my MORE ASIAN CARDS post HERE:

Last week, I brought that card for the Card Divas to make, and here are the rest of the Card Diva's designs that we each made:

A little ghost made with the owl punch!

Katie says the embossing folder is from Hero Arts...and finally, Mel had us make a beautiful glass block with lights:

I could spend a large chunk of time just looking at glass block crafts on Pinterest! Check them out HERE.

Fall Cards, Happy Dancing and Smiling BIG TIME!

This is the amazing card my pen pal sent me awhile back:

That was soooo nice of her to send me the directions inside the card! I did my happy dance right there when I saw that card =) I wanted to make her a card for Canadian Thanksgiving (October 13th) using her idea and here is the result:

My first version of the inside...but it needed something...
so here's the final version:

I finally got to meet Leslie-Ann and her wonderful husband last year. She surprised me with several gifts including her homemade chocolate chip cookies! One of those gifts was the stamp set I used on this card called Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves by Just Rite Stamps:

I LOVE this versatile set and have used it for many cards since receiving it. Thank you so much, LA!...and another thank you goes to Leslie-Ann for this wonderful card she sent me that made me smile BIG TIME:

The PERFECT masculine card for sure thanks to her clever creativity! I also received this card recently from one of my favorite talented card makers, Mel. This one really made me smile BIG TIME when I read the inside saying:

INSIDE SENTIMENT
...oh!...if I could only stick to the first sentence in that sentiment!..and here are a few Fall-themed cards that caught my eye on Pinterest recently:
