PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS

Here are my top favorite
PINTEREST pins...and this week,
all of the pins are from one site!

The oh! so creative LeeAnn Greff has tons of
FREE paper craft templates on her blog:

To view the original source and instructions,
click HERE...and here's my version
that I made last week with a VERY talented
paper crafter named Ava.
Ava is my seven-year-old neighbor who
is now the proud owner of a new Cuttlebug!

To make the box a bit more stable,
I increased the measurements and scored a
6 1/2" x 9 1/4" piece of card stock
at 1 1/4" instead of 1", then followed the

LeeAnn also has these additional
AWESOME projects with instructions
on her template page:

Can't wait to try them all!
THANK YOU BUNCHES, LEEANN!

OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE

I made a sample card today as my college roommate wants to make some cards for her daughter's upcoming shower and wedding. The color combo for these occasions is yellow and gray --- definitely a new color combo for me!...but I realized it's a good thing to get out of your comfort zone now and then! Also...a BIG thank you to my sister, Janie, who realized that she ordered the SU Papillon Potpourri stamp set and coordinating large butterfly punch TWICE! Score for me =)

PIN IT FRIDAY FAV

Embossing Folder Joy!
Great for making tags on cards or packages...

I saw on Pinterest this week a fantastic way
to use all of your embossing folders in your Cuttlebug
using your Nesties and a rubber or silicon mat.
(See this link HERE to see how to use
your Sizzix for this technique.)

The 2 most important things to remember
with this technique:
1) Open up your embossing folder and
use just the flat or impressed side
of the embossing folder
2) Make sure the ridges of the
Nesties are facing up (not down on
your embossing folder).
......................................................................................
Here's the step-by-step process:
1) Cut a shape using your Nesties
2) Leave the paper in the Nestie, and with ridges up,
place on the flat or impressed side of an
embossing folder

 3) Lay a rubber or silicon mat over the Nestie

4) Place a B plate over the Nestie and mat

5) Run the sandwich through your Cuttlebug

...and here are some fabulous 4th of July cards
from some talented paper crafter friends:
